Would you feel offended if an automaker named a car color after your town? Would it make any difference if the color was gray? If not, then you obviously don't live in Stornoway, England.

Hi There, probably a bit late to comment on this but I just noticed, quite accidentally, the unusual juxtaposition of the words "Stornoway" and "England." Now, in Stornoway, ther was a a fair bit of discussion about the "Land Rover Grey" story. My own view is that the chap who complained was being a bit silly. Stornoway is the main town in the Isle of Lewis, an island in the Outer Hebrides. All the islanders, together with the diaspora of islanders around the world, would I am sure be united in outrage at Stornoway being described as being "in England". Stornoway is in Scotland. Not England.
