If that car is narrow enough to fit in a bit less than 1/2 of a current traffic lane, the highways can be re-striped and we can put twice as many cars on the same amount of asphalt. What I've been saying for a while now - we need usable single occupancy vehicles for commuters. And, if there isn't one, a second passenger seat could be put in BEHIND the driver seat. What the heck, every wife is a backseat driver anyway - might as well make it official. Plus, you can let your kid borrow the car and don't have to worry about anyone getting knocked up in the back seat. Unless your family are Chinese acrobats. {8>D)=

We could build elevated commuter lanes over freeways and size them so only narrow commuter cars could fit. The light weight vehicles would make elevated lanes much more practical, and double or triple vehicle capacity of a freeway with no additional land.

Three wheels. Be very careful cornering.

Yeah, I think so too but very futuristic like one of those cars in sci-fi flicks.

The first prototype is now complete and the results is outstanding. http://pricelistreviews.org Plans are, so that the Ales production begins limited production 2008.And, if there isn't one, a second passenger seat could be put in BEHIND the driver seat. What the heck, every wife is a backseat driver anyway - might as well make it official.
