Google at the gas pump translates to happy motorists, retailers

Autos – The Internet-connected pumps, made by Gilbarco Veeder-Root Inc., will come fitted with a color screen and allow travelers to find local landmarks, restaurants, hotels, and more. Drivers will be able to print out directions to their selected destinations using the receipt printer.

The one essential feature of Google at the gas pump would be the ability to find cheaper gas prices at another store. I doubt this feature would be enabled. Therefore this is irrelevant, equivalent to television inside an automobile.
