If I understand the hydrogen concept the only product produced is water or water vapor. Has any one thought of the consequences of releases that much water into our atmosphere? Just asking.

Seems like the water vapor would just be turned into rain. At least that's the way it was explained to me and to do any damage you'd have to have a couple of million cars idling in the same place to cause a problem.

Yep, just returning the water that was split into oxygen and hydrogen. Still, there needs to be a lot of energy to split the water in the first place. There is the same old source of pollution as every source of electricity has.

Where do you get the hydrogen? Right now it's coming from the same old oil refineries that make gasoline and diesel fuel. It's natural gas based. Solar power? There's lots of sunlight in the desert, but no water. One small nuclear plant on the coast could do it.

We REALLY need practical fusion power!
